For the MLA 2018 convention, my colleague and I are putting together a special session on “Teaching, Writing, and Theorizing Anger.” A slightly extended CFP is below, along with the link to the MLA CFP entry: There is an abundance of brilliant, multivalent writing on anger from marginalized and underrepresented populations, yet, in our national culture, being characterized as angry can aid in dismissal by the “establishment.” As teachers, scholars, and writers, what can our roles be to celebrate/explore/foster/explain productive anger but also challenge and, ultimately, end sweeping and generalized accusations of anger against resistant people? https://apps.mla.org/cfp_detail_11260
